Prosecution of Daniel Rendell, Cheshire

On 15 February 2021 at Warrington Magistrates Court Mr Daniel Rendell pleaded guilty to 10 charges under the Veterinary Medicines Regulations 2013:

Charges 1-4

Regulation 7(5): No person may be in possession of a veterinary medicinal product that was supplied to that person other than in accordance with Schedule 3.

The products being Dolethal, Phenoleptil, Ivomec and Drontal

Charges 5-6

Regulation 26(2): No person may be in possession of an unauthorised veterinary medicinal product with the intention of supplying that product to another person.

The products being Nobivac and Oxytocin

Charges 7-10

Regulation 10(2): No person may advertise an authorised human medicinal product for administration to animals. The products being Diazepam, Amoxicillin, Oxycare and Recicort

Daniel Rendell was sentenced as follows:

Charges 1 - 4: 3 Months Imprisonment, concurrent on each

Offences 5-10: 3 Months Imprisonment, concurrent on each, but consecutive to charges 1-4

Total 6 months imprisonment, suspended for 2 years

An 18 week curfew was imposed

A victim surcharge of £124 was also imposed.
