Open letter to PCR Providers on compliance with consumer law

As part of the CMA’s rapid review into the cost of PCR tests the CMA has conducted a review of the terms and conditions of test providers. This letter explains the problems we have found and provides guidance to providers to ensure their terms and conditions comply with consumer law.

The CMA also previously published a response to the letter from the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care asking the CMA to look into issues in connection with PCR travel tests and a statement in relation to our concerns about price, reliability and quality of PCR testing.

The CMA is unable to offer individual advice or step in and help resolve individual complaints. However, the Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline may be able to help.
