The extent of work which the Government Actuary’s Department (GAD) undertakes is featured in a new set of case studies. These depict the projects and success which people in GAD have delivered over the past year.

Completed case studies

Among the issues we explore are the:

wide range of projects we’ve delivered to support the government’s fight against COVID-19 using modelling and analysis

increased engagement and insights we provided to our clients through the growth of our webinar programme

support GAD provides to departments to prepare their pension scheme cashflow forecasts for the Office for Budget Responsibility

funding monitoring software GAD is developing which is designed to calculate ‘real-time’ values of both pension scheme assets and liabilities

Support levels

The Head of Business Development, Ian Rogers said: “These case studies show the breadth of experience and the wide range of issues which we cover.

“We are able to demonstrate the different kinds of support available from GAD to our clients in government and the public sector.”
