Grenfell Tower site update: summary of community online meeting, 3 May 2022

At our Grenfell Tower site community online meeting on 3 May 2022, we updated on maintenance and safety works at the tower. This included the installation of ‘props’ (metal supports) in the basement, the completion of asbestos removal, replacement of the tower wrapping that is due to end later this month, monitoring noise, and contractor procurement.

We also gave an update on activities happening close to the site, including the relocation of the local electricity substation, installing a gravel footpath across Lancaster Green, and how to access the garages under the walkway blocks. And we shared information on local opportunities available from the Grenfell Tower site principal contractor, DUK. You can find out more about these at www.degroup-community.uk.
