Young Entrepreneurs Bring New Industry to City Centre

Innovative Derbyshire company moves its first-of-a-kind operations to the city centre

A young Derbyshire based E-commerce and Small Fulfilment business has this week moved its storage operations to its new home at Access Self Storage on Osmaston Park Road.

Craner & Kirkman Ltd, who work with local businesses to maximise their prep, supply and fulfilment operations, have moved into a large 800 sq. ft. unit at the storage facility in the city centre.

Craner & Kirkman is owned by Sam Hands and Tom Singleton, young entrepreneurs from Derby, who have built a six-figure e-commerce prep and supply business from scratch. Following a recent look for premises in the city, they have invested in space at Access Self Storage whilst their new 3,000 sq. ft. premises are built over the next 12 months.

“We are super excited to be able to work with small businesses to simplify their e-commerce and fulfilment operations, alongside working with our established supply chain to bring cost savings to businesses in the city”, said Mr Singleton.

Mr Hands added, “A period of rapid growth for us has allowed us to invest in more stock from well-known brands such as Monin, Starbucks are more. Alongside our prep and fulfilment operations, this will allow us to bring the best products to businesses cost effectively”

Having taken one of the biggest units at the facility, the duo has worked closely with the Access Self-Storage team to ensure a seamless move. Mark Emerton, Area Manager at Access, said: “We are delighted that Craner & Kirkman have chosen to use Access in Derby for their storage needs. Working with local businesses and especially new ventures has always been at the heart of our operation here at Derby and I hope we will have a long and productive relationship”.
