West End Kids record the Song for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Beacons

The famous West End Kids song & dance troupe have recorded the official song, titled "A Life Lived With Grace" for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Beacons.

As a special tribute to Her Majesty The Queen, a brand new Song for the Commonwealth was commissioned to be sung by groups in all 54 Commonwealth countries at the same time as the lighting of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Beacons on June 2nd 2022.

Alison Cox OBE, Founder and Chair of Trustees for The Commonwealth Resounds said, "We are absolutely thrilled to have the West End Kids provide such a fun and energetic performance to the project which the Queen's Pageantmaster Bruno Peek LVO OBE OPR entrusted to The Commonwealth Resounds, celebrating Her Majesty The Queen's extraordinary 70 year dedicated reign over the UK and the Commonwealth".

West End Kids Founder & Musical Supervisor said: "The West End Kids are excited to be able to make such a significant contribution to such a momentous occasion and hope that the song will bring happiness to everyone who watches it."

The song "A Life Lived With Grace" was composed by Vincent Atueyi Chinemelu with lyrics by Lucy Kiely, whose entry was selected by judges as part of the Commonwealth Resounds Platinum Jubilee Beacons project.

For West End Kids, Musical Supervision is by Martin Williams, Choreography is by Emma Williams and Musical Arrangements & Orchestrations by David Barber.
