Education for Everyone (Registered Charity 1172424) are delighted to announce the return of their “Skate Date with Mark and Matt” fundraisers after a 3-year absence, and to be bringing the fundraiser to the Cambridge Ice Arena for the first time on Sunday 17th July. This fundraiser gives people of all skating abilities the chance to skate with two of professional skaters from ITV’s Dancing on Ice – Mark Hanretty and Matt Evers. There will be two 90-minute sessions: beginners (UK Skate Levels 1-4 including those who have never skated before) and intermediate (UK Skate Level 5 and above). Each session will be followed by an off-ice Meet and Greet with Mark and Matt with opportunities for photos and to ask questions.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards launching the Charity’s Rangers Riding Ranch project which will use equine and non-equine therapy to work with children and young people with additional needs, military veterans and active service personnel with visible and invisible injuries and current and former cancer patients. Chairman of Education for Everyone, Dean Brockway said “We are delighted to announce the return of our Skate Date with Mark and Matt fundraisers following a two-year break due to the coronavirus pandemic. The management of the Cambridge Ice Arena have been amazing in their support ever since we first floated the idea with them back in 2021. The benefits of equine therapy are becoming increasingly known here in the UK have been well established for many years in the USA”.
