Toronto, Canada – February XX, 2021 – Since its release last October 2020, Elisa Malatesta’s original single ‘Crying to the Moon’ has been very successful and widely streamed on Spotify, with the music video version garnering more than 24,000 views on YouTube.
‘Crying to the Moon’ is Ms Malatesta’s latest single written by Les Kotzer and Lewis Manne, and produced by Mat Teofilo (Songsbury). The song is about someone’s impassioned pleas that are directed toward a former lover who left without a proper goodbye, without any hope of closure. So all they can do is cry to the moon.
Listeners of the song and viewers of the music video of ‘Crying to the Moon’ would find it hard to not be moved by Ms Malatesta’s emotional rendition. Ms Malatesta’s operatic background serves her well in this sad love song as she is able to powerfully capture the intense feelings of frustration and abandonment. The music video is exceptionally affective as it shows how Ms Malatesta’s facial expressions and gestures perfectly channel the song's themes of brokenness and isolation mixed with anger and regret. Elisa Malatesta is a Toronto-based Canadian recording artist who has been releasing music for over 20 years. A professionally trained opera singer since the age of 15, Elisa’s extensive operatic background lends her a

Aside from her BPV album, Ms Malatesta has released her ‘Grown Up Christmas List’ holiday album in 2019 plus six singles done in her classical crossover style and in pop.
