O’CALLAGHAN COLLECTION JOIN ROOM TO REWARD

This is a simple way for us to give something back to those who do so much for others.

Room to Reward are delighted to announce the addition of O’Callaghan Collection as the latest hotel group to join the unique hospitality charity. Room to Reward utilises donated unsold hotel rooms to enable charities and communities to give ‘thank you’ breaks to their tireless, dedicated volunteers.

The four Dublin-based properties within O’Callaghan Collection – The Alex, The Green, The Davenport and The Mount – have all joined the initiative and will donate a couple of breaks a year to Hidden Heroes nominated by their charities and communities.

“We are very happy and extremely proud to be joining such a brilliant, innovative charity,” said Gregor Schmidt-Kiefer, Area General Manager for the Collection. “The importance of community action and helping those in need has never been more in focus and this is a simple way for us to give something back to those who do so much for others. We look forward to welcoming our first Hidden Heroes.”

After the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic effectively suspended Room to Reward’s operations for much of 2020, the charity relaunched in June with a campaign to recognise volunteers who had made a difference over the last 18 months.

“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome O’Callaghan Collection as one of our wonderful hotel partners,” said Adam Terpening, Director of Room to Reward. “It’s fantastic for us to increase our number of hotels outside the U.K. and enables us to ensure the nominated volunteers have a wonderful range of properties to choose from.
