NEW LEARNING PLATFORM PROMISES BETTER READING SKILLS FOR KIDS

Published By Pressat [English], Fri, Jun 4, 2021 3:24 AM

English Storytime is a ground-breaking online learning platform for children. It helps young learners develop stronger reading skills, step-by-step, through a carefully-structured graded reading program.

With englishstorytime.com, children read well-loved fairy tales and charming original stories, all specially-written or recrafted for a child’s evolving reading abilities. Each story carefully builds on the language used in the previous story, so each one is a stepping-stone to confident reading.

Created to support children who need help with reading, each story is presented over a series of beautifully-illustrated, interactive flipbooks. The storybooks include professional voice-overs, fun quizzes, creative comprehension activities, and exercises to promote cognitive development, language dexterity, and self-expression.

Every year, millions of children in the UK need help with reading. And with the disruption to learning caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, more children than ever need help to develop stronger reading skills.

English Storytime’s creator, David Hayles, said: “Parents know that strong reading skills provide the basis to excel at school, and in life. For any child who needs help with reading, englishstorytime.com can support them on the journey to becoming a confident reader.”

The website and storybooks are ad-free, link-free, and suitable for all primary-age children. At just £2.99 per month, English Storytime is a very affordable choice for parents. To try it, the first 15 storybooks are available, free, at information is available at englishstorytime.com. For a free login to explore the full current program, or for any additional information, please contact David Hayles at david@englishstorytime.com or on 07958 900407.

English Storytime is the creation of ELT Storytime Ltd. The website (launched in May 2021) was created to support young English learners worldwide, and first-language learners who need help to develop stronger reading skills.

David Hayles is a professional writer and educator. He spent ten years supporting young English learners in China - first as a teacher, then headteacher, then curriculum developer for one of that country’s largest groups of language schools.

David now lives in Crewe, Cheshire, where he devotes his time to further developing the English Storytime program for the benefit of children worldwide.
