The raffle is a fantastic way to support BTA so that they can continue their fantastic work.

Sheffield based IT Provider, ESP Projects, are going the extra mile for their local charity the British Tinnitus Association (BTA) this summer. The BTA are the only UK charity dedicated to funding tinnitus research and supporting people living with tinnitus, a debilitating condition that affects 152,000 adults in South Yorkshire alone, and one in eight people across the UK.

Colette Bunker, Head of Services at the BTA, explained: “We have all faced challenges during the pandemic. For people living with tinnitus, isolation and reduced access to health services have led to a huge 143% increase in calls to our tinnitus helpline for support. This surge in calls will not go away anytime soon with tinnitus now being recognised as an effect of long Covid.”

There is currently no cure for tinnitus, the perception of noises in the head and/or ears which have no external source. For some people with the condition, it can have a debilitating impact on their quality of life.

Harvey Morton, Marketing Manager from ESP, shared: “We’re thrilled to be sponsoring the BTA Summer Raffle! The work and impact of the British Tinnitus Association has benefitted so many across the UK, allowing those who experience tinnitus to access the support they need. The raffle is a fantastic way to support BTA so that they can continue their fantastic work.”.

The BTA’s Fundraising Officer Jess Pollard commented: “We couldn't hold this Summer Raffle without the support of our sponsors, so we'd like to say a huge thank you to ESP Projects for being so generous with their donation of £1,000. We hope this will motivate people to enter our Summer Raffle and support a local charity to raise funds for people living with tinnitus.”

The ESP donation covers the Summer Raffle’s first prize of £1,000, and other prizes include Nuheara IQbuds2 MAX (worth £349) and £100 in cash.

Tickets for the Summer Raffle are just £2 each. You can enter by donating at or call 0114 250 9933 to buy your tickets for just £2 over the phone. You must be 18+ and reside in the UK. The raffle closes on Monday 13 September at 11.59pm and the winners will be announced LIVE on the charity’s Facebook page on Thursday 16 September. British Tinnitus Association is an independent charity and the primary source of information for people with tinnitus. It helps to facilitate an improved quality of life for people with tinnitus through a range of support options including support groups, a helpline and its website, while also taking steps to bring forward the day when tinnitus is cured. The charity works to inform and educate medical professionals and the community on what tinnitus is and how to manage it. The British Tinnitus Association wants “a world where no one suffers from tinnitus”. It wants to find better ways to manage tinnitus and, ultimately, to help find a cure. In 2020, the publication of its Tinnitus Manifesto led to more than 120,000 people signing a petition for more funding for tinnitus research to find cures.
