Help poor Andy who will need his eye removed

Without support from animal lovers, our charity wouldn’t be able to help Andy, and many other vulnerable animals like him that come to our centre.

Andy was found in a garden with his 3 other siblings. Alone, without a mum, and all suffering badly with cat flu. They were taken in and it was clear that Andy was suffering with more than just cat flu, he had a ruptured eye.

Andy was booked in to see a specialist who believes the eye had been ruptured for some time and has healed this way due to having cat flu. It is highly unlikely that Andy is able to see through this eye but he still has his vision in his remaining, healthy eye. Leaving the ruptured eye could cause more complications later in life such as cancer – so to eliminate this risk for poor Andy he will need his eye removed. As Andy is still so young this will be in a month or so.

Little Andy is in a bad way and he’s currently having twice-daily drops for his eye, treatment for ear mites, and cream to treat sore patches on his neck. Despite everything Andy is going through, he is a very playful little kitten. He loves to run around the pod playing with his sister (Zoe). He is not 100% confident with being handled but this may be due to all the treatment he is receiving currently. He is friendly with people and does love a good fuss.

Under vet recommendation, Andy will need his eye removed and for this, the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home are appealing for help.  They need to raise £2,000 to help with Andy's current costs and to be able to pay for his necessary operation to remove his eye. Specialist treatment comes at huge expense. Can you help?

Jane Ellis, Fundraising Manager said, "Without support from animal lovers, our charity wouldn’t be able to help Andy, and many other vulnerable animals like him that come to our centre. PLEASE help Andy on his road to recovery, thank you".

Any money raised over the cost of Andys treatment will go towards medical costs of other animals at our centre.
