ECOUREA offers donation of 20,000 litres of AdBlue to South Korean Government due to emergency shortage

ECOUREA’s CEO Justin Roberts is responding to the emergency due to the shortage of AdBlue (diesel exhaust fluid) within South Korea.

We do a lot of business in South Korea, selling emission reduction reagents such as AdBlue, so we want to give back now that help is needed. We would be more than happy to donate 20,000 litres of AdBlue if the South Korean government wishes to get in contact.

Running out of AdBlue means vehicles fitted with a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system will come to a grinding halt, as they need this reagent to comply with emission regulations. If emergency vehicles, such as police cars, fire engines and ambulances, do not having this product, they will not be allowed to operate. This is, therefore, a major concern, and we would like to help where we can.

Our time working with these industries has resulted in a wealth of knowledge and on-the-ground experience in the systems in place around the world and the infrastructure and framework required to support them.

The most common technology used to reduce emissions effectively is a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system or a selective non-catalytic reduction (SNCR) system.

These systems treat exhaust gas with a nitrogen-based reagent, typically a urea solution such as AdBlue (AUS32) or 40% urea solution (AUS40).

This treatment results in the neutralisation of NOx emissions by up to 98%. The technology is effective, efficient and widely used across the globe.
