Conrad Energy has placed facilitating the transition to a low carbon economy at the centre of its’ business strategy

Conrad the UK’s largest flexible power producer, has cemented further its move into battery storage with the first in a series of acquisitions to complement their growing organic battery pipeline, which stands at over 250MW.

The 24MW battery project in Blackpool was acquired from Power Initiatives and, with the grid connection and planning consent secured, Conrad Energy expects the site to commence construction in the autumn.

Conrad Energy has placed facilitating the transition to a low carbon economy at the centre of its’ business strategy reflecting their vision of becoming a full-service power provider. Battery storage assets are key to supporting the grid and enabling the growth of renewable power as the UK works towards achieving its’ target of becoming carbon neutral by 2050.

Also supporting the energy transition, Conrad Energy provides third party route to market services for similar plants and renewable power projects. The business also supplies commercial and industrial customers with flexible energy solutions from onsite generation as well as competitive and tailored supply contracts.
