Updating FRA’s guardianship for unaccompanied children research

FRA held an inception meeting on 11 November with its research network, FRANET, to discuss updating its report on Guardianship systems for children deprived of parental care in the EU.
The research will provide an overview of changes to law and practice in the assignment of guardians for the protection of unaccompanied children during the last five years. Discussions focused on the questionnaire, methodology and data collection. The research, to be published in 2021, will cover Serbia and North Macedonia for the first time.
