Overview of the main topics and events at the Council of EU and European Council.

The indicated format of each meeting (physical or virtual) are subject to change.

The Foreign Affairs Council will exchange views on Russia and on EU relations with the Latin America and the Caribbean region, and be informed about current affairs.

Ministers will take stock on the EU-UK negotiations and will discuss European Council conclusions for the meeting on 15-16 October.

Employment and Social Policy ministers will hold two debates: 'Worker participation and support for workers in restructuring' and 'Equal participation of women and men in the labour market'.

EU leaders will discuss relations with the United Kingdom, climate change and relations with Africa.

Ministers will seek to adopt the Council's general approach on the post-2020 CAP reform package, conclusions on the farm to fork strategy and reach a political agreement on next year's fishing opportunities in the Baltic Sea.

Ministers will discuss the European climate law as well as biodiversity.
