Prid Delta 1.55 g Vaginal Delivery System for Cattle - Product defect recall alert

We wish to make wholesalers aware that Ceva Animal Health Ltd has initiated a Class III recall of Prid Delta 1.55 g Vaginal Delivery System for Cattle.

Following internal investigation Ceva Animal Health Ltd have identified that when folding the device to insert into the applicator the device can fold badly, making it impossible to insert or the internal skeleton break.

Normally the breakage of the device is detectable by the user. If it is not detected the device could be inserted into the animal and in a few cases may then be rejected.

Ceva Animal Health Ltd is contacting wholesalers to examine inventory immediately and quarantine products subject to this recall.

A notice to veterinary surgeons will be circulated and devices replaced if this issue is identified.
