Capacity Market auction parameters: letter from BEIS to National Grid ESO, July 2021

The letter from the Minister of State for Business, Energy and Clean Growth Anne-Marie Trevelyan MP to National Grid Electricity System Operator (ESO) sets out the parameters, including the volume of capacity to be secured and the de-rating factors for interconnectors, for the T-1 auction for 2022 to 2023, and the T-4 auction for 2025 to 2026 delivery year.
The annex provides full details of auction parameters and the interconnector de-rating factors.
In line with the annual Capacity Market process, the parameters for the 2 auctions may be updated following prequalification, and will be confirmed before the auctions are held in early 2022.
